Travel Plans – Netherlands – Lost In A Foreign Country

In less than two weeks, I’ll be landing at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

I’ve never been there.

I don’t know what it will look like or which way I’ll be going once I get there.

I know that I from the airport, I have to take a short train ride into the city center, but once I get off that train, I will be more or less lost in foreign country.

The thought of that moment brings on feelings of fear and anxiety, but at the same time, I think I will be elated once that moment finally comes. I’ll be totally free to go where ever I want in Europe for the next 45 days!

I have made a vague itinerary but for the most part, I want to spend most of my time overseas just exploring where ever I find, as opposed to having it planned out.

First Night

I’ve booked my first two nights at Ecomama. A so called “Green, Quirky, Conscious boutique style hostel in the city-center of Amsterdam.”. From the pictures I’ve seen, this hostel appears to have a very friendly and inviting atmosphere, as well as having a clean and modern appearance.

Boasting over 7 different room types ranging by size, privacy and budget, Ecomama is said to attract the conscious traveler who enjoys the more luxurious accommodations.

Be sure to check them out if you’re planning a trip into Amsterdam!

Day 2

Once I wake up on my second day in Amsterdam, I have virtually no plans. I just want to walk the canals of the city and take in the scenery from a new world, so far away from home.
